Food Recycling Facility

Facility for making feed from distilled spirits lees

This is a facility for manufacturing feed from distilled lees discharged during the manufacturing process of distilled spirits. The feed is used for fattening the cattle as well as for dairy cattle.
In the case of feed for fattening, the distilled lees are dewatered in a centrifuge, then mixed with auxiliary raw material and continuously dried in a vacuum dryer, and then pelletized.
In the case of feed for dairy cattle, dried cut grasses are put into a mixer, together with auxiliary material such as grain, quantity of which is measured in weighing system. Next, the liquid portion of the distilled spirits lees which were separated in the centrifuge is added, and after mixing for a certain period of time, the finished product is shipped out.

Characteristics

  • Using a vacuum dryer solved the problem of the product being burnt during drying.
  • Introducing the FA system enabled a reduction in labor costs.
  • Using an indirect heating dryer that uses steam reduced running costs.
