- Here we introduce how Tsukishima Kikai’s technologies are applied in water purification systems.
Tsukishima Kikai’s Water Purification Systems
«Water Filtering Plant»

Terminology
* Coagulation
Fine sand and dirt particles contained in the water are collected and adhered together using chemicals to make them larger.
* Sedimentation
Enlarged sand and dirt particles are settled to the bottom of a quiet pond, and collected by machine.
* Filtration
Fine sand and dirt particles that failed to settle are removed.
* Sterilization
Microbes in the water are removed to make safe drinking water.
* Condensation
The sludge is concentrated to improve dewatering efficiency.
* Dewatering
Only the water contained in the sand and dirt collected by “Precipitation” and “Filtration” is removed.
* Drying
The water content that could not fully be removed by “Dewatering” is eliminated.
