'Life Cycle' Business

‘Life cycle’ business is a generic term for comprehensive services performed over a period of several years, such as facility operation management, and byproduct removal. We offer these services in addition to providing equipment and facilities. This business includes comprehensive O&M contracts, multi-year contracts, PFI, and energy creation.

Terminology

Comprehensive O&M and Multi-Year Contracts

One type of life-cycle business - We provide conventional, commissioned services over a period of several years in a comprehensive fashion. However, the scope of comprehensive contracts may vary depending on how local governments run their facilities and on the difference of the units in which contracts are awarded.

PFI (Private Finance Initiative)

PFI is a scheme that aims to apply the know-how of the private sector,about the financial and technical capacities and operation in order to implement of public services involving the provision and maintenance of facilities. In Japan, the “PFI Promotion Law” came into effect in 1999. The PFI scheme includes the main formulas of BOT (Build Operate Transfer), BTO (Build Transfer Operate), and BOO (Build Own Operate), among others.

Energy creation

This concept does not limit itself to energy saving, but also refers to the creation of energy through the conversion to, or generation of, new energy.
