In August of this year,
Tsukishima Holdings will mark the
120th anniversary of its founding.
Our founder, who was concerned that most industrial machinery in Japan at the time was imported, dreamed of contributing to Japan’s industrial progress by starting to produce industrial machinery himself.
Our founder’s dream has since been passed down through successive generations, and our products have contributed to Japan’s various core industries, including chemicals, food products, iron and steel, and paper pulp. Also, our environmental protection technologies have played key roles in addressing pollution, which grew increasingly severe during Japan’s postwar years of rapid economic growth. Today, we are widely recognized by society as an environmentally conscious manufacturing company, chiefly thanks to our Water Environmental Business.
Nevertheless, the globalization of manufacturing has accelerated the transfer of production abroad. When we look around, we realize that many of the products essential to our daily lives are imported.
To help restore the spirit of ‘Made in Japan,’ we will continue to evolve products ‘Made through the spirit of Tsukishima.’
This is our generation’s driving mission.

- Japan is dependent on imports of phosphorus, the raw material for fertilizer. In order to ensure domestic production and stable supply of fertilizers, we are conducting a demonstration experiment to recover phosphorus from sewage. (Tsukishima JFE Aqua Solution Co., Ltd.)
